Pork Congress Kickoff Reception and Auction
Hy-Vee Hall (lower level, rooms 1, 2, 3)
Tuesday, Jan. 23, 5 p.m.
What better way to kickoff Pork Congress than with drinks, dinner and an auction! This is your chance to help Iowa youth with their college education. The Iowa Pork Foundation will hold its annual auction to raise funds for the youth scholarship program. You'll be able to place bids on many exciting auction items while you socialize with fellow pork producers, allied business partners and trade show exhibitors. It's a fun evening and we hope to see you there!

This is your chance to talk one-on-one with experts from Iowa State University to discuss pork industry issues or other topics. Sit down and interact with extension swine specialists, manure management experts and others. You also can test new extension recordkeeping computer programs.

Iowa Pork Congress 'Hospitality Hour'

Wednesday, Jan. 24, 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m.
After visiting trade show booths Wednesday, you'll likely be ready for a few refreshments to close out your afternoon. You can visit any of our five beverage stations set up around the trade show floor for "free" beer and pop. It's all compliments of Alltech. Enjoy!

Producer Recognition Reception

Come and join others at this reception to highlight producers and other stakeholders who lead the pork industry. This includes producer leaders, industry stakeholders, public policy decision makers and newly elected officials. This reception will informally recognize efforts in supporting and being involved in public policy.

This gala event begins with a delicious dinner and features introductions of the 2006 class of Master Pork Producers, Master Seedstock Producer and Iowa's Pork All-American. We'll also recognize the Honorary Master Pork Producers and have the exciting selection of the 2007 Iowa Pork Queen, Princess and Iowa Premier Pork Youth Ambassador. We hope you will join us in honoring our industry award winners and royalty.

 

President's Dessert Reception
